Resort Overview

Big White, located in the stunning Okanagan region of British Columbia, is Canada’s largest totally ski-in/ ski-out resort village. With a wide range of accommodation options to choose from, you can literally ski or board from your front door.

This family friendly resort boasts over 24 feet of snow each season and is home to a vibrant calendar of events.

Big White is located an easy 55-minute drive from Kelowna International Airport, meaning you can be on the slopes within hours of arriving in the country.

This resort is home to 118 runs, five alpine bowls and an impressive and challenging terrain Park. With 3,052 hectares of vast and varied terrain, there is something to suit all levels of skiing and boarding ability.

Big White also offers 25 kilometres of incredible combined Nordic and Wilderness trails perfect for cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

Activities and Attractions

Those looking to improve their skills can join a lesson at Big White’s International Ski and Snowboard School, where group and individual lessons are available with world class instructors. The youngest members of the family will love the Big White Kids Centre.

Other family friendly activities include ice skating, ice hockey and tubing. All season long the resort hosts free family entertainment with bonfire and hot chocolate nights, fireworks displays and trivia nights.

There is plenty of accommodation to choose from at Big White, ranging from luxury private chalets and cabins to full service hotels. With 18 on-mountain restaurants, cafes, delis, pubs and nightclubs to choose from, there is no shortage of places to enjoy an après ski drink or relaxing dinner. A wide range of facilities can be found at Big White, including day spas, a supermarket, child care facilities, a medical centre and multiple retail shops. A shopping shuttle also operates daily to nearby Kelowna where you will find hundreds of shops, ranging from one-of-a-kind boutiques and galleries through to high end fashion stores.

Big White can be accessed by car, snow shuttle or private transfer from Kelowna, the largest city in the scenic Okanakan Valley. The area is recognised as one of Canada’s premier wine growing regions so ensure you allow plenty of time to experience this beautiful part of the world.
