Positioned within easy access to the city of Sapporo, Rusutsu is set against the stunning backdrop of the active volcano, Mt. Yotei, commonly known as Ezo Fuji due to its similar appearance to Mt. Fuji.

Here you will find pristine powder runs minus the crowds that you may find at other resorts.

The three mountains of West, East and Isola receive 12 to 14 metres of snow each season and offer wide, tree-lined courses to suit all levels.

Recording over 13 meters of snow each season, and recognised as one of the world’s snowiest resorts, Rusutsu is the ideal resort for those who love deep, light powder.

The superb modern lift system including seven express quads and four gondolas provide access to 169 hectares of skiable terrain.

Skiers and snowboarders of all abilities are catered for with a wide variety of runs and natural terrain features not found in other resorts. Rusutsu also boasts a terrain park and night skiing (daily until 9pm).

Here you will find a wide range of activities for snow lovers of all ages. On the snow, choose from skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing.

Off the snow, challenge yourself at the climbing school, enjoy horseback riding or learn a new skill with leather working, glass fusing, handy crafts and cheese making classes all available.

The resort’s main hotel, The Westin Rusutsu Resort is a full service resort hotel offering a wide choice of restaurants, shopping and entertainment plus an indoor swimming pool with waterslide.

Room choices range from standard hotel rooms through to log cabins and cottages. Other resort facilities include natural hot springs, an onsite spa, games room, 4D theatre, carousel, reading room and musical fountains.

Located only 80 kilometres from Sapporo and 90 minutes from Chitose International Airport, Rusutsu is easily accessed via a snow shuttle service direct from the airport. Luxury private transfers can also be arranged.
