One of the world’s largest ski resorts, Heavenly boasts the highest elevation and the most skiable terrain of any of the Tahoe resorts. Located on Tahoe’s south shore, this enormous resort has absolutely everything you need for a unique winter getaway. The shores of Lake Tahoe are home to countless accommodation options, trendy bars and plenty of tasty dining options. Heavenly straddles the borders of California/Nevada, meaning you can cross the Stateline as you traverse the mountain. The adjacent Nevada area offers top entertainment and gaming in high-rise casinos and colourful hotels.
Heavenly Mountain Resort boasts a huge 1,942 hectares of skiable terrain, with 97 trails ranging from wide-open cruisers to plunging 1,600-foot chutes and incredible tree runs. Here you will find an impressive elevation of 3,068 metres and 1,076 meters of vertical, two terrain parks, serviced by 28 chairlifts. Stunning views of Lake Tahoe can be seen as you descend the slopes on the Californian side, while the high deserts of Nevada can be viewed on the other side.

Activities and Attractions
Those who are new to the slopes or looking to improve their skills can join a lesson at the Heavenly Ski & Ride School, which also offers a dedicated program for children which has a strong focus on having fun. There is plenty of fun on and off the snow for those who don’t ski or board, with on-mountain zip lines, tube runs, scenic gondola rides, sleigh rides, sledding and much more.
You will also find plenty of day spas to choose from and an endless selection of shops, offering everything from top of the range mountain gear to one-of-a-kind works by local artists. The South Lake Tahoe area is also home to a vibrant calendar of events, including live music, parades, food and film festivals, sporting events and regular fireworks displays.

Heavenly Mountain Resort can be accessed by car, snow shuttle, train or by private helicopter transfer. The two closest international airports are located in Reno (75 minutes) and Sacramento (two hours). Both receive hundreds of daily services from all major US cities.
