For some of our overseas followers you may not even know that you can go skiing in Australia, however, set amongst the natural beauty of the Australian landscape you will find some great ski resorts and unique snow experiences.

Join us on this 7 day / 6 night fully guided ski camp at the Falls Creek ski resort, a picturesque ski town in the Victorian Snowfields just outside of Melbourne.  Join us from 17-23 July on our exclusive Australian ski camp which includes 4 days private ski coaching with international-qualified ski instructors, deluxe accommodation set among the snow gums and have access to our range of signature experiences.

Whether your kids are training to be the next Olympic champions, or you are simply looking for an exciting and educational family holiday where you can take your skiing to the next level, our flexible tour program can be tailored to meet your needs.

While your kids spend a day on the slopes with our fully qualified staff, we can arrange your own private ski lesson or you can choose from a range of daily tour options including a visit to local wineries or exploring the local township of Mt Beauty and surrounding regions.

This program includes a two night stay in Melbourne – voted the world’s most liveable city for the last 5 years – and a range of other unique tourism and educational experiences.  For example, we can arrange a tour of some of Melbourne’s outstanding universities and a visit to a local family home or farm experience en route to the snowfields.

Australian ski camp itinerary

DAY ONE / Sunday 17 July: Travel Day / Melbourne

Arrive into Melbourne and meet your GAO Snow guide for a private or group transfer to your accommodation. Spend the afternoon exploring the city’s tourism attractions and precincts before meeting the rest of the group for a welcome dinner.

DAY TWO/ Monday 18 July: Melbourne / Falls Creek

Travel from Melbourne to Falls Creek (5-6 hours drive). During this trip you will visit a local Australian home or farm to experience the local lifestyle and travel through the beautiful Australian countryside before arriving at Falls Creek alpine village.

DAY THREE/ Tuesday 19 July: Falls Creek

The first day on the ski slopes starts with a safety briefing from GAO Snow and the ski resort staff to explain the Australian ski rules and safety requirements before you and your kids can enjoy a half day private ski or snowboard lesson.

DAY FOUR/ Wednesday 20 July: Falls Creek

The kids enjoy a full day private ski lesson/coaching with the Falls Creek expert instructors, giving you the chance to join an adult ski lesson, explore the ski resort leisure facilities or join our optional tour to explore the local townships and famous wineries.

DAY FIVE / Thursday 21 July: Falls Creek

Today is our family day, after your kids finish their half day private ski lesson/coaching you can spend the afternoon together relaxing in the resort or heading out on the slopes for some family ski time.

DAY SIX / Friday 22 July: Falls Creek

The last morning at Falls Creek includes a final lesson/coaching session in the morning before heading back to Melbourne in the afternoon. Another full day of private ski lessons/coaching with the Falls Creek instructors for the kids gives you the chance to join our optional winery tour exploring some of the region’s great wineries.

DAY SEVEN / Saturday 23 July: Falls Creek / Melbourne

Before departing Melbourne to return to China or onwards to your next Australian destination, spend some free time exploring this great city or contact GAO Snow to arrange some additional optional tour programs or educational experiences.

Package Inclusions:

This fully guided ski camp includes 7 nights accommodation including daily breakfast, group transfers from Melbourne to Falls Creek, 2 x GAO Snow staff members (1 guide and local Australian snow concierge), daily private ski lessons or coaching for your children and daily ski experiences or optional tour activities for the parents. *

Package Accommodation:

At Falls Creek, guests will stay at the luxurious Huski or Astra apartment style hotels (or other similar level accommodation). In Melbourne guests will stay in a boutique hotel in the CBD.

This package is based on two adults and one child (2 bedroom apartment) or one adult and one child (one bedroom apartment/standard room) and includes a daily cooked breakfast. (Pricing for additional children can be supplied on request). *

Terms & Conditions

*This program is for Children aged 8 – 17 years of age.  This package does not include air tickets or tourist visa arrangement however GAO Snow can provide introductions to travel agents in your departure city to assist with these services. A minimum of 6 guests (2-3 families) will be required before this tour will proceed.
